Devout Jews must excitedly await the coming of the
King Messiah and follow the portents of his coming

Through the divine faiths He sent down in the past, Almighty Allah has spoken of a difficult time, the End Times, an era full of strife, war, oppression and troubles, when killing and acts of terror reach a zenith, and when there will be many natural disasters and economic crises. Almighty Allah has revealed that the King Messiah [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] will appear with the title of “the guide to faith” as a savior for the whole world in this final age, when the world will be convulsed in a state of terrible disorder, and has told all mankind about this blessed individual.

These glad tidings have been imparted to both Muslims and religious Jews in their own holy books. The Qur’an contains important references to the way of the Mahdi and the global dominion of the moral values of Islam. Hadiths handed down from our Prophet Muhammad (saas) describe Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) and the End Times in great detail.

In the same way, the events of the End Times and the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) as a leader who will bring peace and security to the whole world are also clearly set out in the Torah and the Zabur (Psalms). This blessed individual who will appear in the End Times, described in the Torah and the Psalms by such names as the MESSIAH, the KING MESSIAH and SHILOH (the one who is sent, the gift of Allah), is Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh). Therefore, in the End Times in which we are living, and in the light of our Lord’s promise, it is essential for Muslims and religious Jews TO FERVERNTLY DESIRE THE APPEARANCE OF THE KING MESSIAH, ANNOUNCE HIS COMING AND ENGAGE IN PRELIMINARY ACTIVITIES FOR THAT COMING. This is a major religious obligation that all believers have to fulfill.

Belief in the King Messiah in Judaism

Belief in the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)—Mashiach (Messiah) as Jews call him—is one of Judaism's fundamental beliefs. Ever since the 12th century, the Jews have regarded Rabbi Maimonides (or in Arabic, Ibn Maimun) as one of the greatest scholars of the Torah. Maimonides stated that of the 13th fundamental principles of Judaism, the 12th was "to believe in the coming of the Messiah [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)]." According to these principles, Jewish belief regarding Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) is set out as follows: >>>

King Messiah and features of the era of his dominion
in the Torah

We sent down the Torah containing guidance and light, and the Prophets who had submitted themselves gave judgment by it for the Jews–as did their scholars and their rabbis–by what they had been allowed to preserve of Allah's Book to which they were witnesses. (Surat al-Mai'da, 44)

In that Era [in the era of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)]... the occupation of theentire world will be solely to know God...(Maimonides, Mishnah Torah, Laws of Kings 12:5) >>>

According to the Torah, the King Messiah will bring
justice and peace to the world

According to Islam, Judaism and Christianity, King Messiah [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] who is among us now will be in search of justice, he will be a just ruler, he will rule with love and peace not with might and power, he will proclaim peace to all the nations, he will put an end to the wars, he will be in search with friendship, love and justice and will watch over the poor, he will put an end to oppresion and cruelty, he will be benevolent and humble. Some of the superior characteristics of the King Messiah [Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)] who has been described in the Torah and the other Judaic scriptures are as follows: >>>

The events leading up to the appearance of the
King Messiah in Judaic Scriptures

According to Jewish tradition, before the appearance of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) (or the Messiah, as they refer to him), there will be a huge moral collapse stemming from atheism. People's feelings of shame will decline. Pride and oppression will grow. No one will have any compassion, the devout will be reviled, and corruption and denial will spread. On the larger scale, there will be a succession of wars and oppression. Land will become increasingly less fertile, and the cost of living, famine and poverty will increase.  Some of the features of this period preceding the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) are described in Judaic scriptures: >>>

The Characteristics of the King Messiah
in Judaic Scriptures

The Messiah (Hazrat Mahdi [pbuh]) whose coming is awaited in the Judaic tradition-will be a spiritual leader who will establish world peace. Besides being a guide to nations, he will be a just and honest judge who always makes the most accurate decisions. He will have exemplary moral values and be a model for the entire humanity, simply because of his fear and love of Allah. Since Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) will fill the world with justice, neutralize all corrupt societies and be a guide for all nations to follow, Jews refer to him using the title "Yahev" or "Shahev" (The one who restores the people, returns the people to God).

In addition, Judaic tradition says that Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh) personality and beauty of soul will influence others, and that he will turn people in the direction of faith with very wise words. However, this servant whom Allah chooses and supports will very definitely not be any superhuman entity. He will be an individual born normally to ordinary parents, but whom Allah supports in every way physically and spiritually and bestows glory upon. Some of the characteristics ascribed to Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) according to Jewish references are: >>>

The Period of the King Messiah's Rule in Judaic Scriptures

According to Judaic belief, in the period following the coming of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), all hatred, enmity and war in the world will come to an end. Peace and justice will be established, and an administration based on love will be set up.

During the time of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh), there will also be great scientific advances. Cities will be beautified, and people will enjoy high standards of living. The land will be fertile and water plentiful, and there will be such wealth and plenty that no one will lack for anything. But people will also make great efforts, attaching greater importance to the spiritual than the material in order that they may draw closer to Allah. When religious moral values rule, disputes will come to an end. Populations will live in peace and security and the world will be filled with the knowledge of Allah.

The Yamot HaMashiach (the Days of Messiah)-an expression that Jews use to describe the time of the reign of Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh)-exhibits a very close agreement with the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that describe it as "the Golden Age." Statements on the suffering of the King Messiah in the Judaic Scriptures

Yefeth ben Ali, the Jewish scholar from 10th century gives an explanation of the Book of Isaiah in regard to the suffering of the King Messiah in his commentary of the Torah:

... to regard it as alluding to theThe Messiah, and as opening with a description of his [King Messiah's] condition in exile, fromthe time of his birth to his accession to the throne: for the prophet [Isaiah] begins byspeaking of his being seated in a position of great honour, and then goes backto relate all that will happen to him during the captivity. He thus gives us tounderstand two things: In the first instance, that the Messiah will only reach his highest degree of honour after long and severe trials; and secondly, that these trials will be sent upon him as a kind of sign, so that, if he findshimself under the yoke of misfortunes whilst remaining pure in his actions, hemay know that he is the desired one… >>>

Signs of Hazrat Mahdi's (pbuh) [King Messiah] Coming
in the Quran and Other Islamic Resources

By indicating, some 1,400 years ago, various signs that will be manifested in the present day, our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), has told us of a time when people will turn their backs on the moral values of the Qur'an, when there will be terrible, worldwide corruption, strife, disorder and degeneration. He has also revealed that in the wake of this, Allah will use a holy servant, bearing the title of the "Mahdi," to bring Qur'anic moral values to prevail across the world, and to replace the existing spiritual degeneration with virtue, peace, security, happiness and well-being. Our Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) has also described how during this time the Prophet Jesus (pbuh), who had previously been raised into the presence of Allah, will once again return to earth. By the will of Allah, the system of the antichrist (dajjal) will be brought to a spiritual end and totally neutralized by the Prophet Jesus (pbuh) and Hazrat Mahdi (pbuh) [King Messiah] during this holy age. >>>
